ENGAGE CEO Mike Bento was a pioneer in LGBTQ marketing, guiding Miller Brewing Company to a leadership position following a 1990s era consumer boycott. Miller led the corporate community in supporting state LGBTQ civil rights bills, as well as national and local AIDS and LGBTQ organizations. Mike also led the team the conducted the first ever LGBTQ Presidential Appointments Project, following the election of Bill Clinton.
Media Director Troy Petenbrink moonlights as TheGayTraveler.com, ranking among the top 30 gay travel websites, and is one of the top gay travel Instagram influencers. He’s developed the first-ever LGBTQ content for several travel destinations, and has consulted with VACAYA and Marriott International.
Our creative team led the visual rebranding of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, developing a broadly inclusive campaign to introduce and explain the new visual identity. More locally, they’ve developed the website for Casa Ruby, the only LGBTQ bilingual and multicultural organization in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area that provides social services and programs catering to the most vulnerable in the city and surrounding areas.
